Fusion Companies, LLC, Creator of Forensic TV, Launches International Academy of Public Safety

Woodbridge, VA (Issues Wire / PRWEB) January 18, 2010 -- Fusion LLC, the creators and distributors of Forensic TV, which has been providing on-line and in-house training for forensic and crime scene investigators for more than two years, today announced the launch of the International Academy of Public Safety (IAPS) (www.iapsonline.com). Dwight C. Paulsen, chairman and co-founder of Fusion Companies, LLC, also announced the new management team for the Academy, which includes L. Douglas Admire as chief operating officer, Dr. Mitch Javidi as President and Chief Marketing Officer and Dr. Elayne Pope as vice president of education and research.

The Academy, a subsidiary of Fusion Companies LLC., is dedicated to the continued education of all professionals in the public safety community. It provides a unique Learning Management System (LMS) that offers a variety of rich-media and interactive training courses to all local, state, national and international members of the public safety community. “All courses have lesson plans with course descriptions, learning objectives, quizzes, grade scaling, and performance tracking mechanism,” said Dr. Javidi. “As well, administrators or training officers can utilize the system to track students’ progress.”

“In a worldwide economy that is increasingly squeezing the training and education budgets of public safety departments, we believe that the Academy is the ‘what’s next’ in tailored, affordable, professional training and education," said Paulsen, in making the announcement. “We have gathered an incredible team of highly talented and experienced professionals to serve as our faculty and leaders of our Academy. As well, we have developed a unique learning management system that allows a broad array of public safety organizations to tailor courses to meet the specific needs of their personnel. Because these courses are designed to be an on-line experience and to be interactive, individuals can take courses when it’s convenient for them,” he said. “And more importantly, we offer certified, internationally recognized faculty that will be designing and teaching the courses.”

Forensics TV, (www.forensictv.net) Fusion Companies’ original learning product, has been on the market for more than two years and is being used by members of public safety departments and covering all disciplines within forensic science. “The new products offered by the Academy include Fire and Rescue training, including general to advanced fire operations, rescue operations and fire and rescue management (www.firerescuetv.net),” . “We will also be offering Police methods and training, including general operations, in-service training, safety, investigations and management, (www.policetvonline.net) within couple of weeks and we will be offering training courses for EMS personnel, military police, corrections personnel and even those involved in physical security by end 2010.”

“The Academy can also provide customized training programs through its Fusion Productions unit that can be tailored to an individual client. We can create a unique learning channel for an agency and its personnel,”. “These unique channels can provide controlled access for certain courses, while still allowing personnel access to the content of general members.”

“In the past 18 months, we have developed or are in the process of finalizing nearly 300 different and unique courses, with more than 200 already available on the IAPS website. We will add another 200 courses in 2010. Quite simply, we intend to be the ‘go to’ place for training in all areas of public safety,” Javidi said.
